Lucie Côté
What attracts me to architectural photography is this encounter between the rational and the poetic, this way in which structures interact with light, space, and time. As a natural extension of my former career as a graphic designer, where every detail, every curve, every balance of forms was important, I now seek to capture the soul of buildings through their silent geometry. As a graphic designer, I spent years composing with lines, contrasts, and negative spaces, playing with typography as one would sculpt a material. I find this sensitivity to visual balance in architecture: facades become pages to be browsed, windows become frames that reveal stories, staircases become graphic rhythms that guide the eye. Every angle, every perspective is an invitation to recompose reality, as I once did with my creative software.
