Navid Baraty is a photographer and visual artist who left a career in engineering to pursue his artistic passion. His work has taken him all around the world—from a collaborative art project for Apple in Chongqing, China to photographing rocket launches at Cape Canaveral to presenting his work to students at a visual arts school in Bogotá, Colombia.
Navid has lived in multiple cities across the United States, and his deep curiosity for the world has led to extensive travel around the Earth and many nights camped beneath the stars in the Southwest. Navid has a particular fondness for photographing remote landscapes, cities from above, and the wonders of the night sky.
Navid’s work has won numerous awards, and his images have appeared in publications and exhibitions worldwide. His work has been used in several large-scale installations, including airport installations in France and New Zealand, as well as a year-long exhibition in the New York City subway.
Navid is based in Seattle, WA.
