About Artist

Tim Korostashevsky

Tim Korostashevsky is a Russian-Jewish award winning photographer with Azerbaijani and Cossack roots. This diversity of multinational cross-culturalism gives him a unique chance to explore what is happening from the outside and at the same time at the inside of the different societies, the narratives and subcultures. In 2010 Tim graduated from the British Higher School of Art and Design as an Content Producer. He also has a master's degree in Power Engineering. Since 2012, Tim has worked as a photo and video producer for clients such as Uber, Nike and Google. In 2015, Tim began publishing in such media as Rolling Stone magazine, Meduza Project and China Daily as an independent photographer and photojournalist. And in 2024, his short-term project THEY. won 1st place in the Editorial/Press/Personality category of the International Photography Awards (IPA). At the moment Tim is a student and Director's Fellow at The International Center for Photography in the Documentary Practice: Visual Storytelling program. Portraits and personal stories are a daily focus, passion and a reason for Tim's growth as a documentary photographer.
