Czech art photographer and painter of abstract art, was born in 1969. He lives and works in the picturesque town of Bruntál in the Czech Republic. As a self-taught photographer he specializes in portrait photography and graphic work with photographs. His work is characterized by open aperture, interesting light and sensitive composition. In addition, he combines the real world with the imaginary, resulting in interesting collages and minimalist compositions. Thanks to his talent and his success in international photography competitions, in which he has been actively participating since 2012, he was awarded the title of FIAP Artist (AFIAP - Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique') in 2014 and subsequently the title of FIAP Excellence (EFIAP) in 2017. He regularly represents the Czech Republic at the WPC (World Photographic Cup), which is co-organized by the FEP (Federation of European Photographers). In 2014 he was awarded the title of European Photographer (EP) in the Portrait&Fine Art category and in 2024 the title of Qualified European Photographer (QEP) in the Illustration&Fine Art Photography category. In his creative practice, he sensitively blends the worlds of photography and visual art, shaping a distinctive personal visual language. He is best known for his stylized portraits, staged photography, and original graphic post-production, where reality merges seamlessly with imagination. The result is a compelling body of work featuring visual stories, striking collages, and minimalist compositions. A self-taught artist, Danyi focuses on portrait photography and creative image processing. His photographic style is defined by the use of wide apertures, a keen sense for light, and precise composition. He consistently develops conceptual projects and personal series that reflect his inner world and deep interest in architecture, culture, and human narratives. For his long-standing and systematic work, he has been awarded a number of prestigious international titles: Artiste FIAP (AFIAP) – 2014 Excellence FIAP (EFIAP) – 2017 European Photographer (EP) – 2014 Qualified European Photographer (QEP) in the category of illustration and fine art – 2024 Master Qualified European Photographer (Master QEP) – 2025 Artist IAAP (International Association of Art Photographers) – 2025 The Master QEP title, awarded by the Federation of European Photographers (FEP), is one of the highest professional honors in European photography and affirms the exceptional quality of his authorial work. Jozef Danyi regularly represents the Czech Republic at international exhibitions and competitions, including the prestigious World Photographic Cup (WPC). He is a member of several prominent organizations: FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique) FEP (Federation of European Photographers) APF ČR (Association of Professional Photographers of the Czech Republic) CFFÚ (Czech Federation of Photographic Art) IAAP (International Association of Art Photographers) CFA Affiliate Artist (France) He also serves as the Chairman of the Bruntál Photographers' Association and co-organizer of the Czech-Polish competition "Region Through the Eyes of Youth – Photography Contest." Since 2012, he has received over 300 awards in 40 countries across 4 continents. His work has been exhibited both in the Czech Republic and abroad and has been published in numerous professional catalogs, books, and galleries.
