J. Jason Chambers b. 1980 Atlanta, Georgia Jason is an American photographer poetically exploring landscape, place, and culture. Rooted in the traditions of American photography and shaped by stillness and attention, his work moves through both natural and built environments. Jason looks for quiet compositions where the present brushes against memory, and the landscape softly speaks. Working with photographic film, Jason follows the road as both subject and studio. The drive becomes part of the process—a way of moving slowly, watching with intention, and finding what often goes unseen. His work draws from Stephen Shore’s everyday gaze, the graphic restraint of Ed Ruscha, and the inward drift of Jack Kerouac’s open road.
