About Artist
Danielle Austen
Danielle Austen is an award-winning professional fine art photographer specializing in creating intimate portraits of the environment, with a particular emphasis on abstracts found within the landscape. She holds a BFA from Cornell University and an MS from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. Danielle’s work has graced the pages in various local, regional, and national publications. Her artistic endeavors have led her to prestigious Artist-in-Residency programs across the United States, with six residencies hosted within the National Parks; Shenandoah, Rocky Mountain, Great Smoky Mountains, twice at Acadia, Everglades, and the seventh was a Full Fellowship recipient at the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has also been showcased in over four dozen national and international juried exhibitions, as well as numerous group and solo exhibitions, notably at the Monmouth Museum in New Jersey. Danielle was a recent recipient of the 2025 Individual Artist Finalist Award from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. As an educator, Danielle offers classes, workshops, private consultations, and presents on a variety of topics to photographic societies throughout the region.
