Where Giants Walk Softly

Working with remote camera traps in elephant country is humbling. Elephants often inspect or destroy them. Each image is hard-won. This black-and-white frame highlights their texture and quiet power — a timeless portrait born of patience, respect, and luck.

About Artist

Jeevan Vridhan

Wildlife Photographer & Conservation Speaker From a young age, I have been captivated by the wonders of wildlife, a passion that has blossomed into a remarkable experience in wildlife photography and conservation. With over two decades of field experience, I have dedicated my time to documenting some of the world’s most elusive and rare species through innovative photography techniques including camera trapping. Currently, I am fully immersed in exciting camera trapping projects across India, Costa Rica, and the USA. My work not only contributes invaluable data to researchers and wildlife organizations but also educates the public on the importance of preserving natural habitats. Specializing in DSLR camera traps for the past four years and working with trail and scouting cameras for the last twenty-five years, I have captured breathtaking images and videos of wildlife in their natural environments. I am particularly passionate about documenting the delicate balance of coexistence and conflict between humans and wildlife, spreading awareness and fostering a deeper understanding of these critical issues.
