Waiting game

In this short serie I focused on what goes behind the visible to the spectators. Anticipation,Precision,Speed, Experience, Dedication and a lot of waiting. Waiting for a change of driver, waiting for the few seconds it takes to change tyres and refuel that would impact the overall score of the team.

About Artist

Michal Baginski

Bageensky (Michal Baginski) is a London based artist working with constructed imagery and physical print objects. His practice centres on authorship, absence, and consequence, treating images as places of encounter rather than representations. Working primarily with staged portraiture, Bageensky builds his work through deliberate construction. Garments, environments, light, and material are developed as structural elements, not descriptive details. A background in spatial design and visualisation informs a disciplined approach to making, where nothing is incidental and each decision carries meaning. While photography forms a foundation, the work is not defined by medium. Prints are produced as physical objects with weight, vulnerability, and duration, using demanding processes that resist mass reproduction. The image is not considered complete until it exists on paper. S·he is a major body of work within his practice. It reimagines historical archetypes through three female figures and has been presented through exhibitions, object led prints, and supporting film and sound. Alongside his independent practice, Bageensky has worked internationally on complex interior environments, an experience that continues to inform the precision and material standards of his work. His work has been exhibited publicly, is held in private collections, and has received recognition at international awards including ReFocus and Px3.
