Tom is a documentary photographer and photojournalist based in Richmond, Virginia. After his 25-year career as a flight and critical care paramedic was ended in the line of duty by a distracted driver, he started applying his background in nature & wildlife photography to tell the stories of the world around us. He is a frequent contributor to the ZUMA Press wire, and has recently had photo credits with The Guardian, the Wall Street Journal, NPR, Reason Magazine, Die Presse, and other publications.
