Ugnė Pouwell is a fine art photographer whose work bridges analogue discipline and contemporary presentation. Using large format film and monochrome processes, she isolates botanicals and elemental forms to examine contour, light, and the cadence of time. Her compositions are spare yet tactile, broad negative space, calibrated tones, and crafted surfaces, completed as limited editions on archival papers. Pouwell’s debut monograph, Solace (192 pp.), continues this approach in print, pairing refined sequencing with an emphasis on materiality. Her ongoing series expand a consistent inquiry: how minimal means can reveal depth, memory, and form.
