About Artist
Aga Karmol
Aga studied art and earned a Master of Fine Arts Degree (MFA) from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. Her passion for photography began with film cameras when she started taking photos as a hobby. Later on, she cooperated with the biggest Polish national equestrian magazine Kon Polski, where she regularly published photo-stories from horseback travels across the world. Her photos and articles with an equine theme were also printed in The Forbes and National Geographic Traveler. In 2005, Aga moved to London and became a correspondent for the Kon Polski Magazine. She wrote about (and photographed) horse-related events in the UK, such as the London Harness Horse Parade, Shire Show, Side Saddle National Championships, London Olympics and more. She was an accredited photographer at the Royal Windsor Horse Show and during the Queen's Guard Open Day. In 2014, Aga relocated to Somerset (UK), where she embraced fine art photography. Her equine portraits, blending the essence of photography and painting, draw inspiration from old masters while utilising contemporary tools: a digital camera and editing software. Notably, she does not use AI in her artistic process. While equine photography remains her primary passion, she also delves into wildlife and travel themes. A dedicated Photoshop instructor and avid traveller, Aga continues to inspire others with her distinctive artistic vision. Aga's photography has been recognised and awarded in numerous international photography competitions.
